Antonio Pizzonia made his Formula 1 debut with
Jaguar in 2003, but it was far from a sparkling season. He failed to score in the first half of the season before being replaced by Justin Wison
?. After leaving 'Pizzaman' accused the team of giving him an inferior car to team-mate
Mark Webber.
Pizzonia became
Williams test driver in 2004 and got his chance when
Ralf Schumacher picked up an injury. Antonio looked far more impressive, and almost grabbed a podium at Spa-Francorchamps
? until his car failed. Despite his improved performances he couldn't get a race seat for 2005, beaten to the Williams drive by Nick Heidfield
?.
However once again Pizzonia got a chance due to Heidfield's knee injury. Pizzonia took part in the final five Grand Prix' of 2005, scoring two points. His only points came at
Monza, courtesy of seventh place. After that he failed to impress, and was rejected in favour of youngster Nico Rosberg for 2006.
